I've got the Blues...
Love these blue rooms! Sometimes blue can be a risky color. I love what they've done here though with just going all out bold! It's so much fun!
I'm being so safe with our house lately. I've gotta get some color somewhere! My family keeps telling me they're surprised so far with my color choices...or lack of. I just don't want anything that I'll get tired of too soon. I'm wanting pops of color, but am just trying to figure out where to put them! I'm very inspired by just looking at spaces like these.

Memories of a Quilt
Justin and I were going through a bunch of boxes again this past weekend. We are trying to get everything unpacked and in its place. I found this quilt that I made in college in my textiles class. I had so much fun in that class. We learned how to die fabric using all types of methods. For my final project, I wanted to make a quilt out of all I had made. It was a really fun project. I don't love tie dye, but the colors are fun!

Paper Delights
I was browsing this weekend to get some ideas for a wedding I'm helping with. I always love the look of these paper collages. They are so fun!

How to choose a TV Stand
We have been using a dresser for our tv stand as a fill in until we find the one we want. It's been a tough choice for me for some reason. Justin wants functionality and I want cute. I think he has the better argument here, but it's still a tough one to sometimes mix the two. I'm trying to find something with some open shelving and some closed to hide cords, movies, remotes, etc.
Here are a few I've come across. I like parts about all of them.
I know this isn't a t.v. stand, but I was just telling Justin it could be neat to have a whole built-in on one wall to hide the t.v. when we weren't using it. Something like this could be really neat. I LOVE this room!

Ruffled Baby Shoes
I was browsing Pinterest today and these baby shoes caught my eye. They are the cutest little things I've ever seen! No, I don't have any kids, but I do love babies...and tiny things. These shoes are from a cute site called Fleeting Thing. If anyone makes them, I'd love to see a picture! I might some day if I have a baby shower to visit!

Fuschia Bathroom
I had to paint over that yuk green color fast. Becky said she'd help me....AGAIN. I don't know what I'd do without her! I am still staring at the bathroom though wondering why I can't just pick a NORMAL color. I wanted bold and I got BOLD. It's fun for now, craziness and all.
>>> I'm now deciding on whether or not to do the hand painted print on these walls. I think it might help tone it down a bit, but I don't know if I want to spend so much time painting something when I'm not sure about the base color. I might just wait on that part. <<<
Oh, and we went to a flea-market close to our house and found a few little treasures for decor. I spent a total of $7 in this bathroom for decor. I got the shelf, the three pictures, and the bell tree (my favorite). Here's a few pics.

Inspiring Typography
I've been really interested in typography lately. With Justin being a graphic designer, I get to help him with little projects at times. I took a few graphic design classes in college, but never went far enough to know as much as I would like. Justin has taught me lots. He amazes me with his talents.
I love browsing typography layouts for inspiration in all aspects of art. Here's a few I recently found that I love.

Chartreuse Disaster
Remember the Chartreuse Bathroom I was gonna do with the hand painted walls? Well I was so excited to start on it and get the base coat down. Becky came over the other day and helped and we were both gagging about the color. You know how you know it's gonna be bad but you just keep going hoping it will magically turn the right color?? Well that's what I did. And let me tell you, it doesn't work that way! I thought I'd show you, before I paint over it, just how awful it looks!
Here's what it was before. Forest Green...mmmm.

Summer Wedding and Family
We went to a family wedding a couple weekends ago and had lots of fun. The Bride and Groom are so cute together and they had a gorgeous wedding. I love family time at weddings. It's so much fun!

Hall Bath Project
We worked on our hallway bathroom this weekend. I wanted to show you the before pictures first. It's still not done. I need to paint one more coat...even though I'd like to say it's finished. I'm not a fan of two coats. Such a momentum breaker! Anyway, I bought some fabric for a shower curtain too. I'm looking forward to making it! It's kinda out there, but I think it'll be fun. Oh, and we decided to paint the mirror a fun turquoise color. I really like how it turned out.

Filling Your Walls
I'm the worst at deciding where to hang what in our house! I think I just have too many crazy ideas that I don't ever know where to start. I would have nail holes all over the house if I tried everything that popped into my head. SO...I'm trying to be more careful this time around. I have still only hung the clock in our kitchen and now some hooks in our bathroom. Anyways, here's some fun inspiration I found for color on the walls.

Kitchen Curtains
I made the kitchen curtain yesterday. I don't ever know how I want to hang curtains over the kitchen sink. It seems like there are so many ways. I'll probably still make another little curtain panel with some cute trim to go on top of the window. I like the look of two small ones.
Here's what I have so far.

Summer Time Bowties
This is a super quick light meal that I love. It's great because you can throw just about anything in the pasta and make a summer salad. All you do is cook your pasta up, chop up what you feel like throwing in and eat!
I put Tomatoes, Cilantro, Feta Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil, and a little Vinegar.
Have fun!

Office Curtains...Check
I have a fun story for you! Remember the man at the Fabric Outlet I told you about who let me just take a whole bolt of fabric home to see if I liked It? Well I did and today I went back to pay for it. When I walked in, he said, "You came back!" Then he told me that for being honest, he wanted me to have the fabric for free! We're talking about seven yards of fabric! I couldn't believe it! I kept telling him I wanted to pay for it, but he wouldn't let me. He made my day! I tell you this so that you will go in and support this very nice man, Joe, at the Fabric Outlet on Glenstone! I'm not saying he will be giving fabric away=), but he is always super nice, and I love supporting his local business.

Summer Time Bags
I hope you all had a great weekend. We had a very full one! It was great getting to spend some time with friends and family though.
We had a garage sale on Saturday and I got rid of some old purses. I am proud to say that I have stuck with the same purse for about a year and a half now. I used to change from one to the other all the time. Now I like finding one that works for me and wearing it out. My zipper is starting to break so I thought I'd look and see what was out there. I know I could fix it, but it's fun to look. Here are a few I like.

Pretty Pinks
Justin's cousin is getting married tomorrow to a sweet girl who loves pink. I was asked to help with the flowers for her rehearsal dinner. Several lovely ladies from the family came over and we all put them together. Many hands definitely make light work! We got them all done in just a few hours!

Drapery Decisions
Our house still in a mess. We've almost been here three weeks already! I can't believe it. It's not easy for me to focus on one project at a time, and to be honest, I don't really know which one I'm on now. I get so side tracked. But we do have some pretty ugly curtains up in a few of our rooms that kinda urk me every time I walk in. Here are the ones in Justin's Office right now.
