So, I've been busy working on my clothing and bags for my RVA submissions. It's been so fun. I can't wait to show you it all when I get done!
I'm also super excited about having the opportunity to help out with some weddings this summer. I had the opportunity to help Sharon Taylor a few weekends ago at a wedding at the Firehouse. I did the flowers for the reception tables and got to help with set-up/a little decor. It was super fun working with Sharon. She is SO talented! She has a very unique style that I love.
One thing I was really impressed with is how well she was able to let others help her. I know it's hard to pass things on when you know exactly how it should look. I have a hard time with that myself. But she was great at it. I feel honored to be able to work alongside her.
I don't have any pictures from the wedding I helped with yet, but here are some of Sharon's Amazing designs. She does events and interiors as well. Pics found here: (sharontaylordesigns.com)

Dreamy Patios
There's just something about sitting on the patio in the summer that makes your day a little happier. I love sitting on our porch and watching the trees blow in the wind and feeling the sun and the breeze on my face. A friend just said the other day, "sunshine really is good for the soul." It is so true...everybody needs it.
Someday I want a really big porch with lots of fun furniture and plants everywhere. As Justin and I always say, "someday".... ( Not that we are unhappy with where we are at, it's just fun to think about the future.)
Here's a few fun patios pics I found...
I love these pieces of furniture! I mean how could your porch not look good?
Grab a snack and make some home-made lemonade!
Don't forget the ferns. They make this porch look so dreamy!
Enjoy the sunshine!

My New Artistic Endeavor
I recently submitted some of my designs to Red Velvet Art. www.redvelvetart.com I love what they do and the direction they are going with their shop. They have a store front in town, but are undergoing some changes. So, for now, it is all online. I heard they were taking submissions. I knew lots were applying and my chances were slim.
I was super excited when I got the acceptance e-mail. So, I have been busy working on lots of stuff to build up my inventory! I have to turn everything in by August 15th, so I have lots of work to do! I love it though. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity!
Here are my Line sheets of what I will be submitting to RVA. I am trying to learn how to do all of this and do it right. It's not my thing to do paperwork, pricing, etc. If it were up to me I'd just sit and create! But you gotta take the good with the bad I guess.
My friend Janae Hardy made the little girl dresses...aren't they cute! She is so talented. She takes the most beautiful pictures too. www.janaehardyblog.com

The Pack Rat
I love old furniture. It has so much character and potential. I was visiting my Grandma a few weekends ago with my fam and we had to go to this double decker flea market that we've had our eye on every time we visit. It's called The Pack Rat. Love the name. It really was packed with stuff from wall to wall. There was a whole room with cute furniture. I wanted everything but settled for a $4 chair.
I just redid it a few days ago. I just wanted you to know how incredibly easy it is! And cheap! I spent about $4 on the fabric and a couple on a can of spray paint. So for $10 bucks, you get a cute chair and a super fun experience!
Oh, and I found the pillow at another one of my Grandma's small town thrift stores for a buck. So fun!
